James Reid bid his family goodbye as he left the country, with fans speculating that he is heading to Los Angeles to pursue his music career.
Reid received hugs from his mother and sister, Chantal Calicdan, before they sent him off, as seen on Calicdan’s Instagram page yesterday, Feb. 16. Reid can be seen walking towards the airport entrance while waving goodbye to them.
“Go rockstar! [James Reid]” she said.
Meanwhile, the actor-musician, who’s quiet on social media about his departure, showed fans a cake he received with the greeting “Bon Voyage and Good Luck Jams Red” written on it, via his Instagram Story on Tuesday, Feb. 15.

Though there’s no confirmation from Reid, fans are saying that he will be heading to L.A. where his label Transparent Arts is based. The company, which handles artists including Far East Movement, Tiffany Young and Dumbfounded, welcomed Reid in October of 2020.
Reid, who appears to have been taking a hiatus from acting, has been focusing on his own record label Careless, where he works with his ex-girlfriend, actress Nadine Lustre. Lustre’s songs “Wait For Me,” “Glow” and “Ivory” were produced by the said label. JB
