‘A big leap!’: Louise delos Reyes on doing intimate scenes in ‘The Wife’
Doing intimate scenes is something Louise delos Reyes isn’t comfortable with, she admitted. But with the guidance and care of the creative team behind the sexy romantic drama “The Wife,” the actress was able to make that “leap.”
“Honestly, I’m not comfortable with scenes that are very intimate, things that you would only do with your partner in real life. That’s why it was a big leap and step for me to do one,” Louise told the Inquirer in a recent virtual conference for the said Vivamax movie, which she top-bills with Diego Loyzaga and Cara Gonzales.
For the sexy sequence with Diego, Louise entrusted herself to the writer-director, Denise O’Hara. “I think it still boils down to the plot, the director, the director of photography, to the lighting to make the shots look tastefully done. I trusted the team, the people behind the cameras,” she said.
And she did feel safe with Direk Denise at the helm. “I’m thankful to her because she took care of me, and she was easy to work with. She doesn’t ask for a lot. She gives you the points you need to meet but she lets you process your emotions on your own,” she related. “And we did have an easygoing set.”
Biggest dreams
But having said that, the 29-year-old artist doesn’t see herself doing full-fledged sexy films. “I don’t think I will have more of those in the future,” she said.

I have done lots of things like drama, action, and horror. But one thing I haven’t achieved yet is an award—something I promised my parents who are now in heaven,” she said.
“It feels nice thinking about having a trophy—best actress, best supporting, whatever—in your home,” Louise added. “I think all actors, at one point in their lives, dreamed of having one.” INQ
