Slater Young and Kryz Uy’s 1-year-old son Scott Knoa has tested positive for COVID-19 amid everyone in their house testing negative.

Uy talked about the time Scott first experienced symptoms such as fever, as seen in a vlog on her YouTube channel yesterday, Feb. 9.

“Scottie got a weird [and] intense fever yesterday after lunch. He was fine in the morning, we were cooking and we even went swimming but after he woke up from his nap, his fever was at 38.2 and that was so weird because he would just cry out of the blue,” she said. “Nakakatakot and nakakalungkot (It’s scary and sad) because he’s such a happy and active kid then suddenly he’s not active at all.”

Uy then decided to take their RT-PCR tests which came out negative for all of them in the house, except for their child. She also gave an account of their expenses, noting how Scott had to take several tests as prescribed by their doctor.

“We just got a word — the hospital texted that Scott is positive for COVID which is crazy because none of us are positive, it’s just him. Hopefully it stays that way and if it doesn’t it’s also okay because at least we’re all together,” she stated.

“Ang dami naming nagastos. Ang dami kasing tests na pinagawa — that’s around 5k and then for the Biofire PCR test, we paid 10k,” she added. “I hope the worst is over though.”

(We spent a lot. There were a lot of tests that had to be done — that’s around P5,000 and then for the Biofire PCR test, we paid P10,000. I hope the worst is over, though.)

Uy and Young welcomed Scott amid the rise of the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020, a year after they got married. The couple announced last November that they are expecting their second child. JB
