Social media personality Jam Magno has been permanently suspended on the micro-blogging site Twitter, and she appears to be baffled over what happened.
Magno, a vocal supporter of President Rodrigo Duterte’s administration, talked about her suspension in a now-deleted Facebook post yesterday, Jan. 24. Magno’s Twitter account (@thejammagno) currently shows a warning stating: “Account suspended. Twitter suspends accounts which violate the Twitter Rules.”
“How on Earth did this happen? Uhm, should I be shocked? They just talked about this at the BBM interview. Am I part of the 300?” she said.
Magno could be referring to Twitter recently suspending over 300 accounts allegedly linked to presidential aspirant Ferdinand “Bong Bong” Marcos for “violating our platform manipulation and spam policy.”
She then speculated that she was suspended on the platform because of her support for Marcos or her dislike of Vice President Maria Leonor “Leni” Robredo.
“I am [so] confused. Is it because I tweet against Leni? And because I like BBM?” she asked.
According to a release by Twitter Help Center, a Twitter account may be suspended if it is deemed “spammy or just plain fake,” suspected to be hacked or compromised, or reported for violating Twitter rules on abusive behavior.
This is not the first time Magno was removed from a social media site. Back in May 2021, the internet personality was banned on the video-sharing platform TikTok.
Though Magno did not state the reason for the ban, Aksyon Radyo Iloilo reported via its Facebook page on May 19, 2021, that her account was removed due to “multiple violations of Community Guidelines.” /ra
