Broadcaster Karen Davila and celebrities Bea Binene and Richard Juan praised “The Jessica Soho Presidential Interviews” aired yesterday, Jan. 22, noting how the segment was necessary to help the public decide in choosing the right candidate.
GMA Network’s “The Jessica Soho Presidential Interviews” featured the 2022 presidential aspirants namely: Vice President Leni Robredo, Sen. Panfilo Lacson, Manila Mayor Francisco “Isko Moreno” Domagoso and Sen. Manny Pacquiao. The candidates sat down with broadcaster Jessica Soho, and were questioned about the controversies they had faced, as well as the pressing issues in the country.
Davila pointed out that the questions asked during the interview “revealed” the character of the candidates, as per her Twitter page today, Jan.23. She then stressed how such interviews help voters in choosing who they will support and vote for.
“The questions centered on revealing the true character of the candidate. Kaya po mahalaga na mag-pa interview sa mga mamamahayag (That’s why it’s important to be interviewed by journalists),” she said. “The presidency is not only about competence [and] vision but also about character. Interviews with journalists help peel the layers for voters to get to know candidates.”

GMA network then responded to these allegations by clearing Soho’s name, asserting that the “questions are tough because the job of the presidency is tough.” JB
