Shaina Magdayao survives battle with COVID-19: ‘That wasn’t mild at all’
Shaina Magdayao has finally tested negative for the coronavirus, and is now looking forward to going back to work.
The actress opened up about her battle with COVID-19 while showing a photo of herself on her Instagram page yesterday, Jan. 20.
“Positively negative. Finally! Now that wasn’t ‘mild’ at all,” she said. “I think I experienced all the symptoms [from] fever to sore throat to rashes to cough and colds to headache! But hey, I survived!”
Magdayao then thanked those who prayed for her when she was battling the coronavirus. She also disclosed that she still feels weak, but is “healing day after day” and hoping to return to the “FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano” taping bubble soon.
“I am now COVID-19 negative! Well, still a bit weak, healing day after day but definitely a lot better than the past week,” she told fans. “‘FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano’ bubble, ready for you.”

Magdayao revealed last Jan. 12 that she first felt symptoms on the day after receiving her COVID-19 booster shot, which led her to think that her symptoms were simply side effects of the vaccine. She then went into isolation and tested positive for the virus on Jan. 9.
