Ina Raymundo ‘getting better’ after testing positive for Omicron variant of COVID-19

Ina Raymundo revealed that she has tested positive for COVID-19 Omicron variant, but is now “getting better,” three days after contracting the virus.

Raymundo shared the news while showing a video of herself, bare-faced, on her Instagram page today, Jan. 10. She also expressed her gratitude to those who offered their prayers and wished her well.

“[Because] I got the Omicron but getting better. just take it easy [people] and thanks to those who prayed [and] wished me well. [I] truly appreciate it,” she said.

The actress previously stated that her husband and five kids caught the virus, but most of them have recovered already, through her page too last Friday, Jan. 7. Raymundo, meanwhile, tested positive after their recovery.

“Ang bait pa rin ni God (God is still good) that I’m the last to get it so I was able to take good care of all of them. Most of my kids were sick for [two] days not more than [three] days,” she shared, as she reminded her fans to keep calm and that “God is still in control.”

Celebrities who expressed their concern and offered their well-wishes to the actress were Ogie Alcasid, Iza Calzado, Giselle Sanchez and Miriam Quiambao.

The country now has a total of 2. 96 million COVID cases, as of writing, after recording the highest daily tally yesterday, Jan. 9, at 28,707. According to the Department of Health, cases are expected to climb up to three million in a day or two, following the country’s high positivity rate. JB
