Miley Cyrus welcomed 2022 with a bit of a tricky situation as she experienced wardrobe malfunction during her live special “Miley’s New Year’s Eve Party.”

The singer had just started performing her song “Party in the USA” when suddenly one of the straps of her halter-tube top popped off, as seen in an excerpt of the show posted by People reporter Dave Quinn on his Twitter page yesterday, Jan. 1.

Cyrus struggled in singing her first few lines as she was holding a part of her chest with her hands. She made her way to the backstage and came back after a few seconds, wrapped in a bright red blazer.

“Everybody’s definitely looking at me now,” she said, referencing a part of her song. “I’m still in the most clothes that I’ve ever worn on stage.”

Cyrus then continued her performance while the crowd was cheering and jamming with her.

Cyrus hosted the NBC-produced live special with American comedian Pete Davidson on Friday, Dec. 31, in celebration of new year’s eve. Other celebrities who performed in the said show were Saweetie, Jack Harlow and Brandi Carlile, among others.
