Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla shared a fan moment with Olympic gold medalist Hidilyn Diaz as they flexed their muscles alongside the athlete.
Bernardo expressed her excitement at meeting Diaz, showing a photo of them with Padilla, as seen on her Instagram page yesterday, Dec. 29.
“Literally flexing because we got to take a photo with our champ, [Hidilyn Diaz]! So happy to finally meet her in person,” she said.
Bernardo, Padilla and Diaz showed their arm muscles as they posed for a photo. Padilla, meanwhile, received teasing comments from fellow celebrity MJ Lastimosa and TV news anchor Bernadette Sembrano.
“[DJ] okay lang yan. Kumakapa eh,” Lastimosa quipped. (DJ, it’s okay. It looks like you’re searching for it.)
“Dinaan sa facial expression,” Sembrano wrote. ([You] nailed it through [your] facial expression.)

Diaz earned the country’s first Olympic gold medal after winning the 55-kilogram weightlifting competition held in Tokyo last July. She defeated China’s world-record holder Liao Qiuyun, all while setting an Olympic record-setting 127kg attempt. /ra
