LOOK: Pia Wurtzbach goes ‘back-to-basics’ for Christmas with family in UK

Pia Wurtzbach spent Christmas with her family back in the United Kingdom and she spared no details talking about why she loved every second of it.
The beauty queen revealed that she stayed in her childhood room, now a gym, for the holidays, in a Christmas day “round up” on her Instagram page yesterday, Dec. 27.
“Christmas day round up! I’m back home here in the UK and it’s been years since I slept in the same room where I did as a teen! It’s a gym-slash-bodega now LOL, but I love the bed my mom set up for me,” Wurtzbach shared.
She did not opt to stay in a hotel anymore because it would waste bonding time with her family, adding that the food at home helped with her decision.
“Sayang ang time to bond if sa hotel pa mag stay and I love the dinner my step dad cooked for us,” the former Miss Universe explained, also on her Instagram page yesterday. “Every 2 hours ata kami kumakain ni Mama.”
(If I stayed in a hotel, I would have wasted time to bond with my family, and I love the dinner my step dad cooked for us. My mom and I were probably eating every two hours.)
Wurtzbach then turned sentimental while talking about the children of her sister, Sarah, and how they went to buy toys for the holidays.
“And of course, kulitan (playing around) with Sarah and the kids Lara and Logan as we went to the toy store,” she said. “Bilis nila lumaki. Where did the time go?!”
The 32-year-old beauty queen ended her story by discussing the differences between her usual beauty routine and her laid-back experience at home this Christmas season.

“Ang saya gumising nang di kailangan mag glam at magplantsa ng aking sirena hair (who’s with me?! Hahaha) and also to go to the supermarket leisurely without having to rush,” she stated.

Wurtzbach has spent most of her time last year with her boyfriend, business man Jeremy Jauncy. The two managed to travel around the world amid the pandemic, mostly around countries in the Middle East. JB
