LOOK: Beatrice Luigi Gomez returns to PH after 70th Miss Universe
Miss Philippines Beatrice Luigi Gomez is now back in Manila after representing the country in the 70th Miss Universe pageant.
The Miss Universe Philippines Organization gave fans a glimpse of the beauty queen’s arrival at an airport on its Facebook page yesterday, Dec. 15. Gomez, who is a navy reservist, was welcomed by members of the Philippine Navy.
“Welcome home, Bea!” the organization greeted Gomez.

Meanwhile, Gomez showed moments from her flight back to the Philippines on her Instagram page, also yesterday.
“Finally home! Thank you [Turkish Airlines] for the safe and comfortable flight from Tel Aviv to Istanbul to my home country, Philippines!” she said.
Gomez is currently under quarantine in a hotel in Pasay City, based on her recent Instagram Stories.

Gomez was one of the candidates who vied for the Miss Universe crown at the pageant held in Eilat, Israel, last Monday, Dec. 13 (Dec. 12 in Israel).
Despite not bringing home the crown, she finished her journey in Miss Universe as part of its top 5. She was also commended by celebrities including former Miss Universe titleholders Catriona Gray and Pia Wurtzbach.
Harnaaz Sandhu of India was crowned Miss Universe 2021. Nadia Ferreira of Paraguay was named first runner-up and Lalela Mswane of South Africa second runner-up. /ra
