Ellen Adarna, Derek Ramsay heading to Africa for honeymoon

Newlyweds Derek Ramsay and Ellen Adarna are all set to go on an African tour in January to spend their honeymoon there, two months after their wedding.
Ramsay talked about their plan to also bring along Elias, Adarna’s son with John Lloyd Cruz, in an interview with radio anchor Morly Alinio in the “Showbiz Talk” segment of “DZRH News” last Sunday, Dec. 12.
“Gusto naming ma-experience ni Elias ‘yung ma-eexperience namin kasi, pinag-isipan namin ni Ellen ‘to e — kung nand’on kami tapos ‘yung makikita namin i-wi-wish namin na syempre makita ni Elias ‘yon,” he said, adding that his son, Austin, won’t be able to join them because of his schooling.
(We want Elias to experience what we are about to experience (in Africa) because we have already thought about this — if we’re there, we would also wish for him to see what we saw.)
When asked if he and Adarna would be proceeding to Europe after Africa, Ramsay said no, because restrictions are very tight there, due to the rise of the Omicron variant.
Meanwhile, the actor spoke about his smooth-sailing relationship with Adarna, amid the latter’s frequent pranks and gimmicks on him.
“Wala kaming away. Sobrang positive ng energy dito sa loob ng bahay,” he said. “After ng wedding, talagang smooth-sailing ang nangyayari sa amin ngayon.”
(We don’t argue. There’s so much positive energy in the house. After the wedding, our relationship is really smooth-sailing.)
Ramsay also shared that even when they were managing the wedding preparations, he and Adarna were “relaxed” and no significant quarrels happened between them.
“Nung nagpa-plano nga kami ng wedding — usually ‘diba pag nagpe-prepare ka, nasi-stress kayo, nag-aaway kayo dahil sa preparation — pero sobrang relaxed talaga namin ni Ellen. Sobrang comfortable,” he said.
(Even when we were planning the wedding – usually preparations stress you out, you argue because of the preparations — but I and Ellen were so relaxed. So comfortable.)
