Jennylyn Mercado is beyond grateful that she will still be starring in the upcoming series “Love, Die, Repeat,” amid speculations that she may be replaced by another actress after revealing her pregnancy.

The lock-in taping for “Love, Die, Repeat” was paused last September due to a “medical emergency” involving Mercado. This led fans to speculate that Mercado’s role in the show would be given to a another actress.

But Mercado finally dispelled further speculations, announcing that she will go back to taping for “Love, Die, Repeat” in 2022, as per her Twitter page yesterday, Oct. 31. She also thanked her home network, GMA, for being understanding of her condition.

“Maraming salamat sa aking GMA family (Thank you very much to my GMA family) for understanding my condition and allowing me to still finish ‘Love, Die, Repeat’ next year once I am ready to work again,” she said.

“Sobrang thankful ako at tuloy pa rin ang show,” Mercado added. (I am so thankful that the show will still push through.)

Mercado will be starring in “Love, Die, Repeat” opposite actor Xian Lim. The series is their first project together.

“Love, Die, Repeat” also stars Mike Tan, Gardo Versoza, Valerie Concepcion, Shyr Valdez and Kim Domingo. According to earlier reports, the series was supposed to premiere in early 2022.

Mercado and her boyfriend, actor Dennis Trillo, confirmed they are expecting a baby in an exclusive interview with “24 Oras” last Friday, Oct. 29. They also got engaged last Oct. 8.

The couple has been in a relationship for seven years. They both have children from previous relationships. Trillo has a son with beauty queen Carlene Aguilar while Mercado has a son as well with actor Patrick Garcia. JB
