Andrea Torres has been cast for the upcoming Argentinian film “Pasional,” where she will take on the role of the main character.
The actress is currently in Argentina to film the international project, GMA Artist Center stated on its Instagram page yesterday, Oct. 26. She is the only Filipino member of the main cast and is set to portray a tango dancer.
“Hindi ako makapaniwala! Napakalaking blessing na napakaganda ng taon na ito for me in terms of career. I’m very, very happy lang talaga,” Torres was quoted as saying.
(I can’t believe it. It is a very big blessing that this has been quite a beautiful year for me in terms of career. I’m just really very, very happy.)
Torres gave fans a glimpse of her stay in Argentina through a series of photos on her Instagram page, also yesterday.
She had a welcome dinner with director Luciano Croatto, actor-producer Nicolás Cacciavillan, and producers Alejandra Bustamante and Agustín Vargas-Clérico. Torres’ mother was also present at the dinner.
“Pasional” is a movie by Malevo Films in co-production with GMA Network. It also stars Argentinian actor Marcelo Melingo.
Torres received congratulatory greetings from fellow celebrities including Max Collins, Kylie Padilla and her “Legal Wives” co-star Ashley Ortega. /ra
