While Kim “Kuya Kim” Atienza is a veteran in the industry, a man can only do so much once he starts to laugh uncontrollably—even on national television.
Gretchen Fullido shared the whole story of Atienza’s “tinapay” (bread) dare during a recent “Weather Weather Lang” report on “TV Patrol” by posting a behind-the-scenes video on Instagram yesterday, Aug. 5.
Fullido revealed that she dared Atienza to insert the word “tinapay” somewhere in his weather report. Atienza accepted the challenge and even called it “sisiw” (easy).
Atienza was indeed able to pull off the dare after noting that there is a small chance that it may rain in Metro Manila in the morning and afternoon.
“Sa mga lalabas para magpabakuna, magbaon po tayo ng payong at magdala po tayo ng pagkain, pareho po ng tinapay, para hindi po tayo magutom sa paghihintay natin,” Atienza said.

After successfully slipping “tinapay” in the report, however, Atienza began laughing uncontrollably as he ended the weather section up until the end of “Weather Weather Lang” trivia segment.
Fullido also shared in the clip the events following the report, which shows her laughing at the weatherman while he playfully blames her for making him laugh on air.
“Ginugulo ako, pinapatawa ako nito eh,” Atienza said.
“Wala na nga tayong sweldo, matatanggalan pa tayo ng trabaho,” Atienza then joked.
(She was messing with me, she was making me laugh. We do not even have salaries, and now we are even going to lose our jobs.)
By the end of the video, while the two were at a dressing room, Atienza then admitted, “Ewan ko, natatawa ‘ko eh (I do not know, I just could not stop laughing.)
“Kuya Kim, congrats dun sa ‘tinapay!’ Nairaos naman ni Kuya Kim ‘yung tinapay, subalit ‘yung kanyang trivia naman ay major, major laughtrip! Sana nag-enjoy kayo guys at kahit naka-lockdown tayo,ulit-ulitin niyo na lang ‘to panoorin,” Fullido said.
