Ben&Ben trends No. 1 on South Korean streaming site anew after Young K collab
Award-winning folk-pop band Ben&Ben trended No. 1 on a streaming platform in South Korea following its collaboration with Young K of the K-pop band Day6.
The nine-piece band claimed the top trending spot on Melon on the night of May 27, it shared via Facebook yesterday, May 28.
“[We] trended # 1 again last night in Korea. [Grateful]! [This] is all because of you,” the band said.

Also trending at No. 2 and No. 3 are “Leaves” and Young K, respectively, making the top three trending topics be over the Filipino band and the Day6 member’s collaboration.
Ben&Ben last night premiered the music video of its reimagined hit single “Leaves” featuring Young K. It has since earned around 330,000 views as of this writing.
While the song was originally released in 2017, Ben&Ben noted in an earlier announcement that the song’s message, “all will be alright in time,” is now more “relevant than ever.”
The Filipino band also treated both Liwanag (Ben&Ben fandom) and MyDays (Day6 fandom) to an Instagram Live session with Young K yesterday to mark the song’s release.
In the said session, Ben&Ben lauded Young K’s sincere and strong vocals on the reimagined “Leaves,” noting that he added so much to the song and gave it justice.

This is not the first time Ben&Ben made their mark on Melon, as both the band and the song “Leaves” claimed top spots on the Melon Realtime Search Chart in July last year after NCT’s Mark Lee played the song during a livestream.
Around the same time – almost a year before actually singing it with Ben&Ben – Young K had expressed his love for “Leaves,” saying on Twitter that it was “amazing” and “really good.” /ra
