Kris Aquino is donating goods to the residents of Tarlac to mark the birthday of her eldest son Josh, who has decided to live in the province for good.

The Queen of All Media prepared 800 grocery bags that Josh will be handing over to the government of Tarlac for his birthday outreach program, she shared on Instagram yesterday, May 27.

“Namili na si [Kuya Josh], gusto na nya talagang tumira sa Alto (our family compound) in what he calls ‘lola’s house,’ in Tarlac,” Aquino said. (Kuya Josh has finally chosen, he really wants to live here in Alto [our family compound] in what he calls “lola’s house,” in Tarlac.)

Josh, who turns 26 on June 4, will give the goods to Tarlac Gov. Susan Yap, whom Aquino said will share them with “families she feels will benefit the most.”

“The [three] of us said our goodbyes yesterday afternoon… Pabalik na kami ni Bimb (Bimb and I are returning) to our serviced residence while the condo we’ll be leasing is being readied,” Aquino said in the post, which came with a photo of her and her sons in an embrace.

Aquino also noted that they are not a perfect family, sharing that the two boys recently had a fight but had finally reconciled through “prayer, patience and love.”

“[I] can share that story because it’s about my sons [and] me… my family is not just limited to my [two] boys, alam nyo (you know) how important my sisters [and] brother are to me, BUT they value their privacy and [I] totally respect that [I] can share my life but not our lives,” Aquino stressed.

“In time [I] hope [I] can tell you more because you deserve to know why [I] have so much more to learn [and] do to be worthy not only of being the daughter of my parents BUT to earn the privilege of being ‘bunso’ […] of the most humble, trustworthy, capable, dignified, and morally upright man [I] am so blessed to have as my brother,” she added.

Aquino then stressed that her remarks were made out of her love for her brother and not because of some political agenda.

“Uunahan ko na – bago lagyan ng kulay pulitika at mag wild na naman ang trolls – [I] am writing this because of LOVE. Kailan ba naging masama mahalin ang mga anak at kapatid mo? Sa dami ng toxic na negativity ngayon hindi masama na mag share ako na bilang pamilya, BUO, may respeto, at nagmamahalan kami,” she emphasized.

(Before somebody politicizes this and makes trolls go wild, I want to clarify that I am writing this because of love. When has it been wrong to love your sons and siblings? )

“[I] have said repeatedly — [I] am not interested in politics now. BUT it is my right to protect our family’s name [and] honor,” Aquino added.

Aquino then aptly borrowed the words of Avril Lavigne from her song “Warrior” to end her post, which read: “I pick my battles because I know I’m gonna win the war.”
