Wedding bann of Carla Abellana, Tom Rodriguez reveals date, venue of their special day
Tom Rodriguez and Carla Abellana are going to tie the knot in Batangas on Oct. 23, as revealed in wedding banns from a local parish.
The San Guillermo Parish announced details of the couple’s wedding through a photo on its Facebook page yesterday, May 12. It showed the celebrity couple’s real names and their photos, the names of their parents, and the wedding date.
The church also stated that Rodriguez and Abellana will be getting married at Madre de Dios Chapel in Tagaytay Midlands, Talisay, Batangas.
Abellana explained that wedding banns are a requirement for couples who want to get married in a church, as seen on her Instagram Story yesterday, May 12.
“A WEDDING BANN is a Church requirement for Catholics getting married in any and all Catholic Churches in the Philippines. It is a necessary step to be able to secure a wedding permit,” she said.
Abellana also showed definitions of wedding banns from an encyclopedia and the Catholic Bishops’ Conference of the Philippines.
Rodriguez and Abellana got engaged in October last year but did not announce that they were going to get married until March. They have been dating since 2014, after meeting through their TV series “My Husband’s Lover.” JB
