Kris Aquino celebrated Mother’s Day this year with a surprise from her sons, and she also plans to mark the occasion by giving away cash gifts for fellow moms.
“They surprised me last night!” she said on her Instagram page today, May 9. “I thank God, He chose me to be their mama!”
She added that her eldest son Josh, who now lives in Tarlac, came to visit her for the special occasion.
Aquino also showed photos from their Mother’s Day surprise for her. She can be seen holding a bouquet of pink flowers while her sons Josh and Bimby stand beside her in front of a festive balloon arrangement. Other photos showed her sons kissing and hugging her.
“I told all of you I’ll only post them ‘pag [may] (if there are) occasions when regular, normal people would post their kids. It’s mother’s day!” she added, referring to her statement last month about limiting her children’s public appearances.
She previously stated that her son Josh has found “true happiness” while staying in Tarlac, and she visits him every six weeks. She has considered moving permanently to the province as well for health reasons.
Aquino is also going to treat fellow moms today with P5,000 cash gifts, as she announced on her Instagram page last Friday, May 7.
“I promised a surprise for all kids to be able [to] give something special to their moms, mommies, mamas, mothers, nanays, mudrabels etc.,” she said.
Aquino also explained that she will be picking 40 fans who will be given money to “make their moms happy” for Mother’s Day, as she stressed that the money should not be spent for “selfish” reasons.
“Hindi para sa inyo ha. Don’t be selfish. [Para ito sa kung] ano ang gusto n’yong bilhin para mapaligaya nyo ang mga nanay nyo this Mother’s Day,” she added. (This is not for you. Don’t be selfish. This is for the things you want to buy to make your moms happy this Mother’s Day.)
