Angelina Cruz has assured that she does her part in group works in university after netizens insinuated that a viral Facebook post on a lazy “influencer” groupmate is referring to her.
“[I] saw this circulating around with comments hinting at me, [I] might as well address it because it’s so frustating to see these false accusations continue,” Angelina said, sharing a screenshot of the post made by an anonymous netizen on the “DLSU Freedom Wall” page.
“[Ang] perfect ng soap commercial niya sana sa group works din grabe kami talaga [nagbuhat] sa’yo. [Uso] mag LOA if deins kaya mag commit. Influencer please be an Influencer talaga ah,” the said post read.
(The soap commercial is perfect, but I hope you are in group works too, because we just carried you. You can go on a leave of absence if you cannot really commit. Influencer, please be an actual influencer.)

“[I know I] do my parts, and groupmates of mine, past or present can vouch for me. [I] really don’t see the point of targeting me just because you’re hidden behind anonymity,” the young star, meanwhile, stressed.
“[Next] time, you’re free to just message me if you think my work was lacking,” Angelina added.
Sunshine Cruz likewise rushed to her daughter’s defense, taking also to Instagram yesterday to slam the accusation.
“If this is indeed true, reveal yourself. I know how [hardworking] my daughter is when it comes to school. She won’t be a [dean’s] lister for nothing,” Sunshine stressed.
“Be proud of other people’s achievements and stop bringing them down,” she added.
Just last month, Sunshine shared an appreciation post for Angelina, who is in her first year of college, as the latter managed to become a dean’s lister. /ra
