Kim Chiu commemorated the day her life was under threat by gunmen by visiting a church today, March 4.
“3.4.2020 the day that I almost lost it without knowing the reason why? I am truly saved by his grace,” she wrote in her Instagram post.
The actress shared photos of her praying and of the fateful day her van was hit with bullets. Seven bullet holes can be seen on her van in the black-and-white photo she posted.
“It has been a year. My faith just grew stronger every day. I woke up being extra grateful for this beautiful and colorful life he has given me,” she said.
“Hindi [pa rin] ako makapaniwala na nangyari yun. Pero lubos ang pasasalamat ko na andito [pa rin] ako (I still cannot believe that happened. But I am so grateful that I am still here).”
Last year, gunmen on motorcycles shot at her van in Quezon City. Chiu was en route to a taping of a TV show when the incident took place. She and her companions in the van were unharmed.
It was supposedly a case of mistaken identity: the actress said in her vlog weeks after the shooting that the actual target apologized to her through one of her bosses. RA
