Not one month has passed since Rachel Gupta of India won the Miss Grand International 2024 crown, its franchise holder in her country announced its decision to part ways with the global pageant organization due to differences in visions and goals.

“After careful consideration, we have decided to part ways with the Miss Grand International organization. Our decision comes from recognizing that our visions and goals differ at this moment,” Miss Grand India said in a statement released via the Instagram page of its mother organization, Glamanand Supermodel India.

“Loyalty remains a cornerstone of our values, and it has greatly influenced this decision. We remain committed to prioritizing trust, alignment, and long-term relationships as we move forward,” it further noted.

The organization then addressed Gupta, underscoring its immense pride for the latter for bringing home India’s first victory in the Thailand-based pageant.

“Rachel, you will forever be our Queen, and your achievement marks a historic milestone for our country. We are proud to stand by you and will continue to support you throughout your reign,” it added.

Concluding its statement, it wrote, “This marks the beginning of a new chapter, and we look forward to sharing more updates with you soon. Thank you for your understanding and support.”

Gupta then took to the comments section to clarify to fans that she will continue her reign despite the two organizations’ split.

“This decision will not affect my reign in any way. Miss Grand International is committed to having a wonderfully productive year full of activities and surprises for all of you [who] have supported me!” she said. “I love you and hope you continue to support us!”
