Finally! Bea Alonzo, Alden Richards sign contracts to star in first movie together

Although talks about the project were first reported last year, it isn’t until now that things are made official — Bea Alonzo and Alden Richards have finally signed their contracts to star in a movie together, in the much-anticipated Philippine adaptation of the 2004 Korean film “A Moment to Remember.”

Richards will be playing the character of Jung Woo-sung while Alonzo will be taking the role played by Son Ye-jin. Coming from competing networks, this is the first time Richards and Alonzo will be working together in a film.

Alonzo and Richards inked their contracts with production outfits Viva Films, GMA Pictures and APT Entertainment on March 2, as stated by APT Entertainment in an Instagram post on the same day.

Viva Films CEO Vic Del Rosario III, GMA Pictures president Annette Gozon-Valdes and APT Entertainment CEO Mike Tuviera were also present at the contract signing.

Last August, Richards said that it was his dream to work with Alonzo in a movie, admitting that he is a fan of her pairing with John Lloyd Cruz. Meanwhile, Alonzo is also looking forward to work with the Kapuso actor.

“Finally doing a movie with this one! I am so excited!” Alonzo said in an Instagram post on March 2. She added that there is “no better way” to celebrate her 20 years in show business than working in a movie.

The hit Korean movie “A Moment to Remember” was based on the 2001 Japanese drama “Pure Soul.” It tells the story of two lovers who face hardships as a result of an early onset of Alzheimer’s disease suffered by one of the characters. JB
