After suffering from a heart attack last Feb. 21, broadcaster Doris Bigornia is now recovering from open-heart surgery.

Bigornia’s daughter Nikki provided updates on the veteran journalist’s condition via Twitter yesterday, March 1.

(Thank you very much to all who prayed and continue to pray for mommy. Her surgery was performed the other day and it was successful. However, we’re still asking for your prayers for the continuous recovery of mommy.)

Bigornia was rushed to the hospital after her heart attack in February. She was placed in the intensive care unit before undergoing surgery.

Bigornia, known as ABS-CBN’s “Mutya ng Masa,” co-hosts the radio commentary program “SRO” on DZMM Teleradyo with Alvin Elchico.  /ra
