The Queen of All Media bared her takes on celebrities and politicians including former senator Antonio Trillanes IV and Senator Bong Go through a “Jojowain or Totropahin” challenge in her recent vlog.
Kris Aquino shared her thoughts on several personalities as she ate with her youngest son, Bimby, for the vlog posted on Facebook yesterday, Feb. 3.
On Dingdong Dantes, for one, Aquino argued that she would not want to get in a relationship with someone “too handsome” as she would be uncomfortable.
When asked, though, about Piolo Pascual, Aquino answered “jojowain” without hesitation, with Bimby commenting with a quick “of course!” as he ate his rice meal.
“He’s very noble,” Bimby added, which prompted Aquino to ask his son why he was answering when she was the one doing the challenge.
On Willie Revillame, Aquino answered “jojowain” as she noted that she knew what she was getting herself into if it did happen.
“I know that he has his money, we have our money. ‘Di magiging issue sa’tin ‘yun. And then, I also know na ano, with him, you’ll know what you’re getting yourself into kasi hindi naman nambobola, alam naman natin na babaero siya, so, what’s the big deal?” Aquino explained, prompting a huge laugh from Bimby.
(I know that he has his money, we have our money. That will never be an issue for us. And then, I also know that with him, you’ll know what you’re getting yourself into because he does not sugarcoat, we already know that he is a womanizer, so, what’s the big deal?)
“At least you know, mas okay na sa’kin ‘yung wag ka magpanggap (At least you know, it is much better for me that you do not fake it),” she added, also telling Bimby that she knew Revillame would treat him and his Kuya Josh well.
When asked about Trillanes, Aquino explained, “Totropahin, kasi ayoko nang dumalaw sa kulungan (I will only befriend him because I do not want to visit jail again). That was my life as a child.”
Trillanes, a staunch critic of the Duterte administration, was detained from 2003 to 2010 for the Oakwood Mutiny on July 27, 2003. Aquino’s father, slain former senator Benigno “Ninoy” Aquino Jr., was, meanwhile, imprisoned from 1972 to 1980 during the Marcos dictatorship.
After his exile in the United States from 1980 to 1983, Ninoy decided to return to the Philippines, but was assassinated immediately upon landing on Aug. 21, 1983.
Aquino nonchalantly remarked that “one assassination in the family is enough,” much to the surprise of Bimby, who jokingly followed his mother’s comment with a “cheers, everybody!”
Aquino, however, changed her mind after answering that she would get into a relationship with Go, noting that she wanted to be fair as the two have clashing political beliefs.
Aquino explained she liked Go, a loyal supporter of President Duterte, because of the senator’s clear skin and for his good treatment of her when she visited Davao back then.
“Ang dating niya, hindi siya mayabang. So, gusto ko siya. Mawi-weirdan lahat ng tao, ‘Gusto mo siya, really?’ Yeah, I like him,” she said.
(He does not come off as arrogant. So, I like him. I know people will find this weird and say, “You like him, really?” Yeah, I like him.)
“Until now, he’s still nice. Walang nagbago sa kaniya. Okay ‘tong lalaking ‘to kasi wala naman siyang pakinabang sa akin, and yet he still stays nice,” Aquino added.
(Until now, he’s still nice. Nothing changed about him. This guy is okay because he has no use for me and yet he still stays nice.)
Aquino’s other “jojowain” picks included Alden Richards, John Lloyd Cruz, Empoy and Raffy Tulfo. Her “totropahin” picks, meanwhile, were Coco Martin, Gabby Concepcion and Mayor Vico Sotto, among others.
Aquino noted, however, that if she had to choose one among all her “jojowain” picks, she would go for Pascual.
To end her vlog, Aquino then emphasized that these were just for fun and should not be taken seriously. She also disclosed that as a birthday gift to herself, she will be moving to a beachfront house in the province. /ra
