KC Concepcion marks 55th birthday of mom Sharon Cuneta: ‘Outshines any other day’

KC Concepcion sent a short yet sweet birthday greeting to her mother, Megastar Sharon Cuneta, as the latter turns 55 years old today, Jan. 6.
“Today is the day that outshines any other day of the year! Happy birthday and fabulous 55th to la Reina (the queen),” the doting daughter posted on Instagram.
“Te quiero muchísimo (I love you so much) @reallysharoncuneta,” Concepcion added.
Aside from the message, the eldest child of Cuneta marked the special occasion by sharing with fans a throwback photo – in black-and-white – of a young Concepcion in the arms of her mother.

In the days leading to her birthday, Cuneta has been posting swimsuit photos as she proudly showed off her size 10 figure, noting that she will continue to lose weight this year.
“Went swimming and had this picture taken today. Now my swimsuit is a size 10. I haven’t been a 10 in many years. My normal size when I was thin was 6 or 8 [and] I would panic na pag 8!” Cuneta said in an Instagram post yesterday, Jan. 5. “Now to get to size 6 means I need to lose the last 20 [pounds]. [After] so many years of trying to get rid of all this extra weight and losing anywhere from 60 [to] 80 [pounds], 20 doesn’t seem like too much work anymore.”
“Please pray for me. Then WATCH ME. Hah! Thank You Lord for that all-important bonk on the head before 2020 ended that knocked me into my senses – now it’s even been helping me lose weight! Nyahaha! Galing ng Diyos talaga (God is really great). Love you everyone!” she added.

Cuneta continued sharing another moment of her in a swimsuit, lying down and smiling for the camera, which she simply captioned, “55 tomorrow,” in another post yesterday.

The Megastar’s stunning looks also prompted Concepcion to comment that “This is the Sharon I love! Omg!!!”
