Pia Wurtzbach and boyfriend Jeremy Jauncey marked their first anniversary together with heartfelt messages for one another.
Jauncey looked back on the past year by sharing a photo of them on vacation via Instagram last Thursday, Dec. 31. Back then, they had been keeping their relationship low-key.
“December 31st is always a special day for me, not only is it the last day of the year — a chance to reflect and remember all the things that happened but it’s also our anniversary,” he said.
“This photo is from 12 months ago today, drinking from a coconut and talking about how much we wanted to achieve in the coming year,” he said. He noted that many of their plans for 2020 were dashed, but he still feels “happy [and] hopeful for what’s to come in 2021.”
“There have been a load of personal [and] professional challenges for me, Pia, our businesses, our friends and our family but we got through them, wiser [and] stronger,” he added.
The Miss Universe 2015 titleholder, meanwhile, expressed gratitude for her Scottish-Colombian boyfriend.
“Thank you for always looking after me, encouraging me and making me feel so loved and supported,” she wrote. “To more adventures, more laughter and more chicken burgers with you. Happy anniversary!!”

The couple confirmed their relationship last June. They spent their first Christmas together in the United Kingdom, just the two of them physically together as the country imposed lockdown measures. JB
