Actor Patrick Sugui and his girlfriend, Aeriel Garcia, are now engaged after being in a relationship for two years.
Garcia shared Sugui’s romantic proposal on her Instagram page yesterday, Dec. 29. The couple were in a dimly lit room while standing on flower petals that were lined with lit candles as the actor prepared to ask her to marry him.
“When I asked you to be my girlfriend, I told you na (that) I wasn’t just doing this to have a girlfriend,” Sugui said while Elton John’s “Your Song” played in the background.
“I was looking for someone that I can marry and can love for the rest of my life,” he told Garcia as they began tearing up. “And today, I want to fulfill that promise.”
Sugui then got down on one knee with a ring in hand and asked for Garcia’s hand in marriage.
The actor also spoke about the engagement on his own page, where he posted photos of him and Garcia as she showed off her ring.
“I’ll love you forever, that’s all [I’ll] do,” he assured his now-fiancé. /ra
