LISTEN: Britney Spears, Backstreet Boys release new song ‘Matches’

Britney Spears and the Backstreet Boys have teamed up for a new track called “Matches.”

Spears announced the collaboration with her fellow 1990s icons on her Facebook page yesterday, Dec. 11.

“I’m so excited to hear what you think about our song together!” she told her fans.

The singer also shared the song on her YouTube page along with its accompanying artwork. The Backstreet Boys sing the electro-pop tune’s intro before Spears joins in singing about a dangerous kind of love.

“Like playing with matches, matches, matches / This might leave some damage, damage, damage,” Spears sings in the chorus. “Thе good kind of damage, damage, damage.”

The boy band also shared the song on their Instagram page, saying, “What a GLORIOUS day it is… we’ve been asked about the possibility of a collab like this for the past 20 years and today is the day!!”

“Matches” is among the new tracks Spears has created for the 2020 edition of her ninth studio album “Glory.” Prior to the said tune, she also dropped “Swimming in the Stars” on her 39th birthday. last Dec. 2.  /ra
