Arci Muñoz joined the Philippine Air Force during a relief operation in Catanduanes to help those who were severely affected by typhoons last month.
The actress, who is also a sergeant of the agency’s reserve command, spoke about the initiative on her Instagram page on Thursday, Dec. 10.
“We saw the reality of the poor conditions our kababayans (countrymen) continue to live through caused by the aftermath of typhoon Ulysses and [Rolly],” she said.
Muñoz posted photos from the effort as well, which showed her and her teammates in military fatigues and face masks as they handed out relief goods. While they were able to extend help to the residents, she acknowledges that it is not a permanent fix to their situation.
