‘Hawkeye’ series casts Hailee Steinfeld as Kate Bishop—report
Hailee Steinfeld will be starring alongside “Avengers” star Jeremy Renner in the upcoming TV series “Hawkeye.”
The actress is set to portray Kate Bishop, Variety reported on Dec. 3, citing sources. In the comics, Kate eventually trains under Clint Barton (Renner) and takes the mantle of Hawkeye.
The next day, Renner appeared to have confirmed her casting as well through a photo on his Instagram page. The two seemed to be on set and in costume while Steinfeld held onto a dog, as seen in Renner’s post.

Renner also uploaded a photo of a chair that had an arrow and the words “Clint Barton” printed onto it.

His posts came hours after E! News shared an image of Steinfeld holding a large bow as she followed Renner down subway station stairs. However, Steinfeld, Disney and Marvel have yet to comment on her casting.
Aside from Steinfeld, Florence Pugh, Vera Farmiga and Tony Dalton will also be appearing in the series. According to the report, Farmiga will portray Kate’s mother, Eleanor Bishop, while Pugh will play the spy Yelena Belova, the sister of Black Widow. Ryan Arcadio /ra
