’Almost 20 years in the making’: Assunta de Rossi gives birth to first child

MANILA, Philippines — After almost 20 years, actress Assunta de Rossi finally got her wish to become a mother after she gave birth to her first child, Fiore.

Assunta’s sister Alessandra shared the joyous news in an Instagram post on Friday.
“This is the most beautiful photo for life! Little Fiore and tears of joy in my sister’s eyes,” Alessandra said in her post, showing Assunta beside her daughter.
“Almost 20 years in the making! Miracles happen every day, and this one is the best!” she added.
Celebrity publicist Jun Lalin likewise shared a photo of Assunta’s little bundle of joy.

In Jun’s post, he shared that Fiore’s full name is Giulia Fiorentina Alessandra. She was born at the Cardinal Santos Medical Center in San Juan City at 7:06 a.m. on October 23.
The baby weighed five pounds and 12 ounces, and was delivered via elective Caesarian section at 38 weeks “due to myoma uteri.”
It was in May when Assunta announced she was pregnant with her first child with husband, politician Jules Ledesma.
Assunta previously said that her baby was a “miracle” since she and Jules have been waiting to have a child for 18 years.
The couple tied the knot in 2004.
