LOOK: Julia Barretto recalls childhood days in throwback greeting for sister Dani
Julia Barretto looked back on her childhood days with her older sister Dani as she penned her a heartfelt birthday greeting online.
Julia took to Instagram yesterday, Oct. 21, to share her open letter for her “ate,” whom the young actress said she has always looked up to since she was a child.
“When we were little, I always wanted to be in the same dress as you. During your seventh birthday, you were supposed to be the only one in a Cinderella costume, but you let me be Cinderella too because you knew I always wanted to be matching with you,” Julia recalled.

She also remembered how Dani was part of “Ang TV” back then, noting that she would always wait for Saturdays to come to watch it with Dani.

It’s how you look out for me, how you protect me and love me. I can’t ask for a better sister, Dan. I tell you this all the time, but I LOVE YOU. Happy happy birthday @danibarretto,” the doting sister added.
Dani unsurprisingly appreciated her sister’s message, replying via the comments section, “This made me cry, Juju!!”
“I love you sooooo much!!!!!!!!! Thank you for also being an ate to me whenever I fall short. Sometimes ates need to be reminded that we don’t have everything figured out all the time. I love you! I love you!” she added.
Dani turned 27 years old last Tuesday, Oct. 20. She is four years older than Julia and is the eldest among Marjorie Barretto’s children. JB
