Sandara Park celebrated reaching one million subscribers on YouTube by giving Blackjacks (2NE1 fandom) a dose of K-pop nostalgia through a stripped-down cover of “I Don’t Care.”
Park, joined by former 2NE1 member Park Bom, took to the said video streaming platform on Oct. 14 to treat fans with the performance of the 2NE1 2009 hit.
“We did this cover ages ago and now I’m giving you guys this for celebrating Daratv 1 Million subscribers!” the Philippines’ “Pambansang Krung-Krung” said on the video’s description.
“I couldn’t have done this without your support Thank you so much!” she added.
2NE1’s “I Don’t Care,” one of their earliest hits, won the Mnet Asian Music Award for Song of the Year in 2009. It also bagged the Song of the Year award from the Cyworld Digital Music Awards, among others.
Park and Bom, also called the “Park Sisters,” were joined by fellow artists CL and Minzy in 2NE1 under YG Entertainment. After seven years together, the group disbanded in 2016. /ra
