Carmi Martin beats COVID-19 after two-week quarantine
Carmi Martin revealed that she has finally recovered from COVID-19 after contracting the coronavirus earlier this month.
The actress underwent a swab test at the Philippine Red Cross on Sept. 13 and her results came back positive the day after.
The test was a requirement for a digital series under Star Cinema that she was set to join, as per her Instagram post yesterday, Sept. 28.
“I really felt bad because I have no symptoms except for my [blood pressure] shoot up, and also for not able to do the project since I was so prepared and really was so excited to do it,” Martin said.

Martin added that exercise, healthy food and a positive attitude helped her recover.
She then expressed her gratitude for those who supported her during her struggle with the disease. Among them were her family, fellow actresses Coney Reyes and Glady Reyes, and the ABS-CBN medical team.
Martin also shared moments from her stay in the Makati Friendship Suites Facility, which was converted into a quarantine facility last March.
Along with Martin, other celebrities such as Iza Calzado, Sylvia Sanchez and Christopher de Leon have also survived COVID-19 in the past months. JB
