Iza Calzado surprised her housekeeper with a key to her home as a symbol of gratitude for standing by the actress during her struggle with COVID-19.

Calzado gave the key to Donna Garcia on the pilot episode of Judy Ann Santos’s new show titled “Paano Kita Mapapasalamatan”, which was uploaded on ABS-CBN Entertainment’s YouTube page last Saturday, June 13.

Calzado tested positive for the coronavirus last March. While her husband Ben Wintle watched over her during her time in a hospital, Calzado was also worried about her 16-year-old brother Sean who lived with them.

Thankfully, Garcia, who has been working for Calzado for two and a half years already, decided to stay and take care of the actress’s home and brother.

However, it was no easy decision for Garcia. Calzado revealed that Garcia’s family asked the latter to return to their province after finding out that the actress was diagnosed with the disease.

In response to Garcia’s loyalty and service despite the risk of also contracting the virus, Calzado chose to give Garcia a key to her home.
