Lily Collins gets engaged to BF Charlie McDowell: ‘Purest joy I’ve felt’

Lily Collins proudly revealed that she is now engaged to her boyfriend, filmmaker Charlie McDowell.
The “Love, Rosie” star posted moments from the proposal on her Instagram page yesterday, Sept. 25. McDowell popped the big question outdoors, surrounded by trees and rocks.
“I’ve been waiting my lifetime for you and I can’t wait to spend our lifetime together…,” she said.

Collins also shared a photo of them kissing while she held up her hand to the camera, showing her engagement ring.
“The purest joy I’ve ever felt…,” she added alongside a picture of her smiling with closed eyes as she flaunted her ring.

McDowell spoke about the proposal on his own page, saying, “In a time of uncertainty and darkness you have illuminated my life.”
“I will forever cherish my adventure with you,” he told his wife-to-be.

The two sparked dating rumors in July 2019 when they were seen in Los Angeles together, as per Metro. Collins then confirmed they are in a relationship by sharing a photo of them the month after.

Along with their future wedding plans, the couple is also focusing on an upcoming crime film called “Gilded Rage.” McDowell will be directing it, while Collins is set to star in it alongside Cristoph Waltz and Bill Skarsgård. /ra
