Xian Lim has fulfilled his grandmother’s wish to have her clown collection displayed in one room and see it before she undergoes chemotherapy for breast cancer.
The doting grandson has finally finished creating the said room his grandmother requested, which he had been working on since August.
“Wish granted for my lola [heart emoji] She is now recovering and we’re waiting for the doctors to give a go signal for her Chemotherapy,” Lim said on Instagram yesterday, Sept. 25.
“Before we brought her to the hospital, I asked her what she wanted para mapabilis ang balik ng lakas niya (to speed up her recovery) and she told me that she wanted to see her clown collection in one place,” he added.
The post came with photos of Lim, his grandmother and mother in the said room with glass cabinets filled with a variety of clown figures and dolls. The actor noted that his grandmother was “thrilled and excited” to see all of them on display.
“My [lola’s] next wishlist for me is to frame all her [cross-stitch]…. All 150+ works that accumulated through the years! Mukhang kakayanin naman (It seems like it is feasible),” Lim said.
Lim on Friday, Aug. 25, posted on Instagram photos of him setting up the room, making a hole in the wall for an air conditioner.
“Wishlist daw niya is a room filled with clowns and figurines (particularly ‘witches’ and ‘roosters’…don’t ask why…it’s been her thing [ever since] I can remember)…..oh and Ventriloquist puppets daw as well because it makes her happy,” the actor said.
Lim revealed on Aug. 24 that his grandmother had been diagnosed with breast cancer through a short video he posted also on Instagram.
The grandmother in late August also underwent a mastectomy, a procedure to remove one of her breasts, as part of her fight against cancer. /ra
