MANILA, Philippines— Actress Liza Soberano has vowed to go after an internet service provider employee who posted a rape threat against her on social media.
“Don’t worry we won’t let this one pass. They know my address,” Soberano said on Sunday in a tweet.
This was in response to a netizen who urged her and her manager Ogie Diaz not to let the employee’s misconduct slide for supposedly making the lewd remarks online.
“Wala tayong magagawa, wala ng trabaho, kaya di bale ng masira ang image, magkapera lang. Sarap ipa-rape sa mga… ewan!” the employee wrote on Facebook as seen in several screenshots shared online.
It is a serious matter asking for someone to rape liza soberano for her because of a complain on her internet connection.

The internet provider has already addressed the issue, promising it would take disciplinary measures against the employee.
“We are deeply concerned about the wrongful comments and behavior of some employees over social media. We do not tolerate such actions toward any customer and emphasize that their personal opinions do not reflect the company’s perspective, values, and culture,” Converge said on Monday in a tweet.

Soberano previously aired her frustration as an “unhappy customer” of Converge for not responding to her calls regarding her internet speed.
