Exciting new journey for Sharon
After 30 years of blockbuster movies, chart-topping albums, sold-out concerts and TV shows, Sharon Cuneta embarks on a new journey as she starts her first project for her new home, TV5, the daily talk show, “Sharon, Kasama Mo, Kapatid,” which begins airing on May 14.
Sharon says that her transfer to the Kapatid network has given her renewed energy. What caused the delay of its telecast? She shares, “A lot of things. We want it to be familiar, yet different from other shows of its kind. I screen every segment, because I want to justify my transfer from ABS-CBN. We have taped l5 episodes so far—and, modesty aside, maganda ang kinalabasan!
“I have survived some low career points through the years because of the public’s support. I owe them my triumphs, so it’s time to give back. As my father repeatedly told me, “Kapag nag-invest ka ng pagmamahal sa tao, babalik ito sa’yo.”
Just like the shows of Oprah Winfrey and Ellen DeGeneres, Sharon’s show aims to inspire, encourage and entertain. Furthermore, the Megastar promises to make use of her influence and capability to touch lives and effect positive change.
The show will also support various causes and advocacies through a continuous fund-raising drive. Its theme song is the Rey Valera-penned “Kahit Maputi Na Ang Buhok Ko.”
