Arron Villaflor has become the latest celebrity to be targeted by hackers as he lost his official Instagram account despite several attempts to recover it.
The actor shared the unfortunate news to fans via a new Instagram account yesterday, Sept. 4, admitting that “it’s been a depressing time losing my number one means of connection with you guys.”
“Sinubukan ko na po ilang beses na I recover yung account ko (I have tried several times to recover my account) but to no avail. If anyone knows a contact on Instagram who can help that’d be great!” Villaflor said.
His original Instagram account, which had the handle @arronvillaflor05, is currently unavailable on the said platform. When attempted to be accessed, Instagram says that the link “may be broken” or that “the page may have been removed.”
“For now, it’s a brand new day and I’ll be keeping you all posted using this account. Maraming salamat po (Thank you very much)!” Villaflor said.
The actor also lamented the situation via his official Twitter account as he thanked MOR radio DJ Jhaiho, who asked fans to follow Villaflor’s new Instagram account.

Just last week, actress Sunshine Cruz revealed to fans that a hacker from Turkey gained access to her email and Instagram and demanded 1,000 euros ($1,190 or P57,800) from her in exchange for the account.
Cruz has since been able to recover her account without paying, and is back to posting content after her bout with the unknown hacker.
Last month, Angel Locsin also detailed to fans that hackers had been attempting to access her email and social media accounts, while Ella Cruz lost her Facebook page to hackers, although she eventually recovered it. /ra
