‘Heneral Luna’ to be available for streaming on YouTube

The award-winning historical film “Heneral Luna” will be available for viewing on YouTube starting tonight, Aug. 28.

The movie, based on the Philippine-American war hero General Antonio Luna, will premier on TBA Studios’ YouTube channel tonight at 9 p.m., as per the film production company’s Twitter post yesterday, Aug. 27.

“Heneral Luna” stars by high-caliber actors, namely John Arcilla, Mon Confiado, Nonie Buencamino, Mylene Dizon, Epy Quizon and more.

TBA Studios will also go live during its premiere with the movie’s director, Jerrold Tarog.

“I’ll be joining the live chat to say hi,” Tarog announced on his Twitter page on the same day.

The 2015 film was nominated in local and international award-giving bodies such as Asian Film Awards, Gawad Urian Awards and the Philippine Movie Press Club (PMPC) Star Awards for Movies.

It also brought home 10 awards in The Luna Awards in 2016 including Best Picture, Best Director, Best Editing, Best Cinematography, Best Screenplay, Best Actor (Arcilla) and Best Supporting Actor (Buencamino).

Tarog was also at the helm of another historical movie “Goyo.” The 2018 film is based on one of the youngest generals in the country, Gregorio del Pilar, during its war against the United States.  /ra
