Ion Perez dedicated a spoken word piece to his partner Vice Ganda to celebrate 22 months together as a couple.
Perez also made a video that featured some of their memorable moments on the noontime variety program “It’s Showtime,” as seen on Perez’s Instagram page last Tuesday, Aug. 25.
Throughout the video, the spoken word piece called “Hindi Kami Bagay, Tao Kami” by director-writer Rod Marmol played over it. However, parts of the original piece were changed in Perez’s post.
The piece likened Vice to a fish, whom Perez had supposedly just managed to hook by chance. However, Perez stated that he worked hard for their relationship.
Through the piece, Perez also described Vice as a special person who can understand him on a deeper level.
As the spoken word piece ended, Perez pointed out that while many may not approve of their relationship, they are both still humans who have the right to love.
Vice confirmed last November that he and Perez had been in a relationship for a year. Perez, who is “Kuya Escort” in “It’s Showtime,” has since been expressive of his feelings for Vice on social media. /ra
