/ 12:44 PM August 25, 2020

ABS-CBN’s streaming service iWant is set to merge with The Filipino Channel (TFC) online in one app and website starting Sept. 1.

The new platform, called iWant TFC, offers thousands of titles and will allow users to watch with no ads, create playlists and stream on multiple devices, as per an announcement today, Aug. 25.

iWant users can still access the app until Aug. 31. Premium subscribers can log in with their current email address or mobile number. However, users who have a free or basic plan need to create a new account in the iWant TFC app or website.

FEATURED STORIES

Both iWant and TFC offered movies, ABS-CBN teleseryes and news, sports, entertainment and lifestyle shows.

The move comes after ABS-CBN was denied a franchise renewal by Congress in July.

The media giant has been boosting the digital arm of its business after its shutdown. It launched a free online channel, Kapamilya Online Live, on Aug. 1. It is accessible via ABS-CBN Entertainment’s YouTube and Facebook pages.  /ra
