Three-part series for upcoming 2020 nat’l census airs on Sunday

MANILA, Philippines — A three-part series featuring the upcoming 2020 Census of Population and Housing is set to premiere on Sunday, August 16.

Airing on People’s Television (PTV) at 11 a.m., the show hosted by comedian and former Overseas Workers Welfare Administration Deputy Administrator Arnell Ignacio will tackle the national census that is set to begin on September 1.

The three-part series will discuss how the public can participate in the census, which will be conducted either by face-to-face, self-administered questionnaire, phone interview, paper-assisted telephone interview, or through the Philippine Statistics Authority’s website.

Civil Registrar General Dennis Mapa and officer-in-charge National Deputy Statistician Minerva Eloisa Esquivias will guest on the pilot episode this Sunday to share information on the government undertaking.

Several personalities will also be featured in the upcoming episodes, including pop princess Sarah Geronimo, DJ Loonyo, comedian Kiray Celis, Sexbomb member Jopay Paguia-Zamora and her husband, former Manoeuvres dancer Joshua Zamora.
