Despite having to celebrate her special day during the quarantine period, Mariel Rodriguez felt “so much love,” thanks to her family, especially to husband Robin Padilla.
Rodriguez marked her 36th birthday last Monday, Aug. 10. The TV host disclosed that Padilla had been worrying about her birthday celebration since July, fearing that she might not feel happy on her special day amid the COVID-19 crisis.
Talking about how Padilla organized a “little party” for her, Rodriguez recounted how the actor woke up early to “supervise everything,” as per her Instagram post yesterday, Aug. 11.
“[So] all [I] needed to do was wake up, swam with [Isabella,] so that [I] could enjoy my little party,” she said. “[He] gave me the most thoughtful gift, overall made sure [I] was happy on my special day!”
“[Thank you] babe @robinhoodpadilla 10 birthdays with you,” Rodriguez added. “[Very] very blessed all my loved ones are safe and healthy. I could not ask for more.”
Rodriguez expressed her gratitude to everyone who sent their heartfelt greetings and gifts. She was also able to indulge in some of her favorite dishes and desserts to mark the occasion.
“[Even my mother-in-law] for the very first time sent me flowers which [I] super appreciate,” the TV host said.
She likewise expressed her love to her grandparents and the “boys in the hood” who assisted them in carrying their new furniture at home. She also of course acknowledged her two children, who Rodriguez described as her “truest joy” in life.
Rodriguez gave birth to her second daughter with Padilla, named Gabriela, last November in the United States. The couple is also the proud parents of 3-year-old Maria Isabella Padilla. Mariel and Robin have been married since 2010. JB
