Son Ye-jin’s advice to help PH fans achieve their career goals
With Hyun Bin having endorsed the Smart Signature brand two months ago, could Son Ye-jin, his leading lady in “Crash Landing on You” (CLOY), be far behind?
Ye-jin was launched as Smart’s latest endorser on Monday and unsurprisingly, the gorgeous 38-year-old actress behind such smash K-dramas as CLOY, “Something in the Rain” and “The Negotiation” (her other starrer with Hyun Bin), didn’t disappoint.
For starters, the actress told attendees in a taped video message during the virtual launch how happy she was to have been tapped by Smart for its latest commercial—which shows her riding a Ducati motorbike, presumably on her way to her date with … (take a guess). In it, she expressed her excitement to see her avid Filipino fans as soon as travel restrictions are lifted. She last visited the Philippines 10 years ago and took a trip to Palawan.
“I can’t wait to see all of you,” she said beaming, before mentioning how thrilled she would be for her followers “to see the project I’m working on with Smart.”
She was so pleased with how the shoot went that, two days later on July 18, she couldn’t help but post about it prematurely on Instagram in a video that has since been liked 2.5 million times.
Article continues after this advertisementGiven how successful she’s been as an actress, she has helpful advice for young people who are just beginning to pursue their careers. “I’m not sure if I’ve already succeeded, but I think young people who just started, not only in acting, but also in other fields shouldn’t be scared to experience hardships.
“I have had the same experience. But it helps that I’ve always set a goal [to focus on].”
