Actor Alden Richards has one more thing to be grateful for as he tested negative for the coronavirus.

The “Eat Bulaga!” host showed his certification indicating that he was negative for the coronavirus after undergoing rapid testing, as seen on his Twitter post today, July 25. Richards’ fans rejoiced and prayed that the actor would remain healthy and safe.

Richards recently became the face of the Department of Health’s (DOH) campaign to battle the spread of the virus in the country, called “BIDA Solusyon sa COVID-19.”

BIDA,” a term used referring to lead actors in shows and movies, has been transformed into an acronym to remind citizens of quarantine protocols, namely wearing a face mask, maintaining social distancing, sanitizing one’s hands and avoiding misinformation about COVID-19 updates.

The actor has also been busy hosting the noontime variety TV show “Eat Bulaga!” after it resumed live studio tapings last June. The show put a pause on production last March in view of the pandemic.

Richards is one of the hosts of the show, which also includes Vic Sotto, Maine Mendoza, Jose Manalo, Wally Bayola and Paolo Ballesteros  among others.  /ra
