Sharon Cuneta marks Jed Madela’s birthday: ‘One of the very best singers’
Sharon Cuneta had a short yet heartfelt message for Jed Madela as he turned 44 yesterday, July 14.
“Happy, happy birthday to one of the most sincere people I know and one of the very best singers in the world!” she said in her Instagram post on the same day, alongside a photo of Madela.
“Thank you for being a good friend to me,” Cuneta added. “I am blessed by your friendship. I love you, my Jeddy!”
The Megastar also included a link to one of Madela’s performances, where he sang the popular Disney song “Go the Distance” by Michael Bolton.
The two artists previously worked together on the singing and impersonation competition “Your Face Sounds Familiar.” Cuneta and Madela both served as judges alongside Gary Valenciano and Ogie Alcasid.
Madela began his singing career as a lead vocalist for the bands Pose, Dyevest and Prime Council. He eventually started performing as a solo artist after winning the 2003 Voice of Asia Song Festival in Kazakhstan.
