WATCH: Cong’s grandma to get P20,000 from Willie Revillame after Cong TV prank

Local YouTube star Lincoln Velasquez, most popularly known only as Cong, seems to have gotten a stroke of good karma after giving his grandmother P10,000 for a prank — because Willie Revillame decided to add another P20,000.
Cong’s grandmother, whom the vlogger fondly calls Inang, is a big fan of the television host. To try to make Inang happy, Cong pretended that Revillame called her and gave her money, without the grandma knowing that it was actually from her grandson.
Revillame, through his show “Wowowin” on GMA 7, recognized the vlogger’s good deed and decided to actually give Inang money and a few other freebies, as shown in a clip posted on Wowowin’s YouTube channel on July 10.
Cong, along with his fellow vloggers from Team Payaman, recently posted a reaction video to Revillame’s gesture, celebrating the giveaway and thanking the TV host for his generosity.
Revillame in turn responded to Cong’s reaction, commending the vlogger for being wise by creating a series of video responses between them and making more money in the process.
“Etong si Cong magaling eh, marunong ‘to eh. Gagawin niyang teleserye ‘to ngayon. Pahahabain niya nang pahahabain; sasagot ngayon sila, sasagot na naman ako. O, hanggang maka singkwenta mil ‘to eh,” Revillame joked in a Wowowin video posted last Monday, July 13.
(This guy Cong is good and wise. He is going to make this into a series. He is going to stretch this story more and more; now they will respond to this again, which I would answer again. Until I end up giving P50,000.)
Inang, now aware of the prank, is now looking for her idol’s promised P20,000 while Cong and friends cheer her on, the video showed.
While Revillame disclosed that they are having difficulties in sending over the money because of the pandemic, he has promised to send it as soon as possible and noted that he may add more if he likes Inang’s next reaction.
Cong, through his channel Cong TV, is one of the country’s biggest YouTubers with around 5.82 million subscribers, as of writing. He recently went bald and set up a fundraising event for fellow vlogger Emman Nimedez for the latter’s cancer treatment. JB
